Clare is a highly experienced publisher and past winner of the UK Young Publisher of the Year award. She worked for number of the larger publishing houses including Hodder, Orion, John Wiley and Pearson before co-founding The Friday Project in 2005 where she published a number of brilliant books including In Search of Adam and bestselling non-fiction Blood, Sweat and Tea and Confessions of a GP. TFP was sold to HarperCollins in 2008 and Clare stayed on until 2009 before leaving to offer publishing consultancy services under the banner of The Book Guru. She launched RedDoor in 2014.
Heather has 18 years’ experience in the world of publishing. She has worked for a variety of publishing houses, including Hodder Headline, The Friday Project, HarperCollins, Virgin, and most recently Anova (Pavilion), as Commissioning Editor for Good Housekeeping books. She has worked on a somewhat eclectic range of fiction and non-fiction titles – from Health & Fitness, MBS, Medical and Cookery, to Humour, Travel, Adult and Autobiography – with a little bit of children’s thrown in for good measure. Heather’s experience makes her the linchpin of RedDoor; she can project manage, create copy, commission, co-ordinate a photoshoot, and can even hand-model on demand. She is the ultimate pair of safe editorial hands.
Publishing Co-ordinator & Editor
Anna studied for a degree in American and English Literature at The University of East Anglia and spent a year at Reed College in Oregon. Her publishing experience includes freelancing for a literary scout for several years, working freelance in social media strategy and editorially on a range of projects. She co-runs The Bookish Supper Salon in Brighton, an event that brings readers and authors together round a table with home made food and wine. She is the curator of an anthology about losing a mother. She is delighted to be part of the RedDoor team and loves working collaboratively with talented authors and their fantastic books.
Julia has 15 years experience in the publishing industry, having worked for Little Brown, Virgin Books, Ebury and Orion Publishing. She began her career in traditional marketing, but soon discovered that her passion lay in the ever-changing landscape of digital and its ability to get books into the hands of passionate readers. She has pursued digital marketing as a specialism since 2010, working on innovative projects such as Julian Fellowes’s Belgravia and most recently on brand and IP at the Roald Dahl Literary Estate. Julia is delighted to join the brilliant RedDoor team and to apply her skills to promoting their diverse and exciting list.
